First Hajj flight leaves for Saudi Arabia from Lahore

The first flight for this year's Hajj took off from Lahore's Allama Iqbal International Airport for Saudi Arabia on Thursday.

The flight carried 214 pilgrims to Madina. The flight was seen off by Punjab Religious Affairs Minister Syed Saeedul Hassan, local media reported. Speaking to the media, the minister said that the government has carried out excellent arrangement for the pilgrims.

Meanwhile the first Hajj flight from Islamabad will also take off from Islamabad International Airport today. Similarly, Hajj flight operation from Karachi and Peshawar will begin on Friday.

This year, Pakistan International Airlines is also starting direct Hajj flights from Quetta.
