ABBOTTABAD: The cyber crime wing of the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) on Thursday arrested four persons including two Nigerian national involved in online fraud of Rs4 million with a local.
Officials of FIA said that on the complaint of local Tahir Sarwar registered a complaint on January 20, 2019 that a UK based Pakistani girl who was his social media friend requested her to help her for retrieving the money of a client of her bank where she works, she told Tahir that the client has died and left millions of dollars in the bank, the Cybercrime wing has started investigation and arrested four accused.
The girl took Rs4 million from Tahir Sarwar in terms of different fees for retrieving the money from the account.
FIA cybercrime wing arrested four persons including two Nigerian national Frank Ogho, Johnson Smith, Javed Khan and Naeem from Abbottabad who was allegedly involved in online fraud. FIA after the arrest of the four accused has started the investigation of the online scam.
