Pakistan former captain turned cricket commentator Ramiz Raja has expressed disappointment over the lack of batting breakout stars in the ongoing edition of Pakistan Super League (PSL).

“We didn’t get to see a breakout talent in batting, however we get got to see plenty of bowling breakout talents, featuring genuine fast bowlers including Muhammad Musa,” said Raja, while talking at Ramiz Speaks.

“I believe that Pakistan cricket team cannot be of world quality, if we don’t get three or four genuine batsmen and all rounders,” he added.

The former captain was also not pleased with the lack of people attending the tournament in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

“We didn’t get to see a lot of turnout in UAE, which is a huge problem. Because this league doesn’t deserve this as it features some of the best international players, and some of the best bowling talent plays here. So it doesn’t do justice when there are no people,” he said.

Raja suggested a number of options to overcome this issue i.e. introducing bus service for the labor class, and bringing in people from Pakistan to attend the tournament.
