ISLAMABAD: Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Additional Director Cyber Crime Wing Islamabad Chudhary Abdul Rauf Thursday said that in a bid to provide security and privacy to women at the Cyber Crime Units by ensuring female staff on every centre as in-charge.
Addressing the public grievances, especially women issues it was necessary to provide them a complete privacy through a female staff who will hear their complaints and forwarded the same for further action, he said while talking to a private news channel.
He said people were showing their trust on the performance of Cyber Wing as during one and half year the agency had received more than 27,000 complaints from across the country.
Currently, he said, the agency was facing shortage of staff and 15 centre were working with 114 officials across the country.
The FIA official said they had received a number of complaints from across the country and abroad regarding social media crimes in Pakistan.
He said there was a dire need to create awareness among the people about the modus operandi of the criminals, who through fake accounts lured young people, especially teenagers.
