KARACHI: Sindh Minister for Local Government Saeed Ghani on Monday said that the city was facing shortage of water from last two days due to installation of new supply lines and cleaning process of water supply lines at Dhabeji.
Addressing a follow-up meeting regarding K-IV Project at his office he said that the process of cleaning and new supply lines installation would improve the water supply in hot weather, according to a press release. Saeed Ghani said that serious efforts were being made by the provincial government to overcome water shortage in Karachi.
He said that measures were being taken for the removal of all hurdles in timely completion of K-IV project.
The minister was informed by the officials of water board that cleaning process of water supply lines at Dhabeji was started on Sunday evening which would be completed on Tuesday evening.
The officials said that water supply would be improved after the process.
They said that the citizens were informed two days prior to the initiation of the process while in many areas free water supply was being ensured through water tankers.
