ISLAMABAD: Extreme dense fog Thursday again caused tripping of National Transmission and Despatch Company (NTDC) six circuits of 500KV and 15 circuits of 220KV resulting reduction of generation and supply of electricity to Lahore Electric Supply Company (LESCO), Faisalabad Electric Supply Company (FESCO) and Multan Electric Power Company (MEPCO).

The areas fall under the jurisdiction of said companies were worst affected, the ministry spokesman said.

The NTDC teams despite difficulties were on ground and clearing faults. Temporary load management in various areas was being carried out.

Some 220KV circuits and 500 KV circuits had been normalised and patrolling on rest was in progress.
