ISLAMABAD: Leader of the Upper House, Shibli Fraz on Wednesday said that Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf (PTI), government wanted to depoliticize all the institutions.
Depoliticizing the national institutions would help streamline the system, he stated while talking to a private news channel.
Commenting on National Accountability Bureau (NAB), he said that the national institution was working independently and handling the affairs without any discrimination.
The PTI government came into power after raising slogans for removing corruption, he said adding that we are committed to eliminate the menace of corruption from the society.
“We have zero tolerance against the corruption, “ he said. Strengthening the institutions would help improve the governance, he added. He suggested that NAB laws needs amendments.
To a question he said that every body was saying that the PPP and PML-N had been involved in corrupt practices. There was need to put NAB on scientific lines to achieve the objectives, Shibli Fraz stated.
TO another question he said the chairman NAB was appointed with the consent of PPP and PML-N.
