Cell to redress complaints regarding utility services to start work on 1st Jan: Governor
KARACHI: Governor Sindh Imran Ismail on Monday said the complaint cell for resolution of complaints with regard to cleaning, water and electricity services in Karachi would start working from January 1.
This, he said while addressing a press conference here at the Governor's House, said a statement.
He said the complaint cell may be contacted on no: 0300-0441333 and 0300-0441555 for registration of complaints.
The governor said around 300 RO Plants would be installed in first phase to ensure provision of cleaning drinking water to the people of Karachi.
Work was underway on installation of desalination plant by the federal government, he added.
He said on the directives of the prime minister of Pakistan, the problem of shortage of water in Karachi will be resolved by the next year.
He said a three-day-long "Chamkey ga Karachi" cleaning campaign was launched to perform cleaning throughout the city.
