ISLAMABAD: The 143rd birth anniversary of the founder of the nation, 'Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah' will be observed on Tuesday (tomorrow) with respect and dignity.
Quaid-e-Azam was born on December 25, 1876 in Karachi. He received early education in Karachi and then went to London for higher education. He got his law degree in 1896, returned home and began his legal career. Later, he joined Muslim League and struggled for a separate homeland for Muslims of the subcontinent.

His efforts bore fruit when the dream for independence of Pakistan came true on August 14, 1947. Pakistan owes its existence to the tireless struggle and leadership abilities of Quaid-e-Azam.
It will be a public holiday and national flag will be hoisted atop all public and private buildings.
The day will dawn with Quran Khawani at the Quaid’s mausoleum in Karachi.
Several programs will be held by social, political, governmental and non-governmental organizations and forums in various parts of Azad Jammu and Kashmir to pay rich tributes to the father of the nation.
People from various walks of life will visit the mausoleum of the great Quaid all day to pay tributes and offer `Fateha'.
Pakistan Television and Radio Pakistan will on air special programmes to pay homage to the great leader while the newspapers will also publish special supplements.
