Hungary's budget deficit could undershoot goal-finance ministry

BUDAPEST: Hungary's budget deficit could be 1.9-2.1 percent this year, below the 2.4 percent target, the Finance Ministry said on Friday.

The ministry also revised its earlier forecast for economic growth in 2018 to 4.6 percent from 4.3 percent, saying that investments had been one of the key drivers of growth, and projected that state debt could fall to 71 percent of economic output this year from 73.3 percent last year.
