ISLAMABAD: Minister of State for Revenue Muhammad Hammad Azhar Friday said Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf's government was expecting 2 billion dollars assistance from Saudi Arabia, after receiving 3 billion dollars from the United Arab Emirates (UAE) in near future.

It would help in addressing the economic issues of the country, he said talking to a private news channel.

The government was taking steps to improve the country's exports and trade volume with a focus to uplift national economy and to put it on path to progress, he added.

The government's economic team under the leadership of Finance Minister Asad Umar was successfully overcoming the economic crisis.

Besides it was efficiently managing the pending external payments due to the prudent policies, Hammad said.

The PTI government was reducing the financial deficit of the national institutions by equipping them with modern training and technology, he said.
