By-election in PB 26 Quetta on Dec 31

QUETTA: Balochistan Election Commissioner Ghulam Israr Khan Friday said that preparation of By-election in PB 26 Quetta has been completed for holding polls on December 31.

Talking to media persons, he said levies force and Frontier Corps personnel had been deployed at 49 poling stations to ensure peace in the areas for holding By-election.

Election Commissioner said around 53338 voters of male and 22337 for women votes would cast their votes in the by-election.

He said about 28 poling stations for male, 19 poling stations for women and two combined poling stations were set up for by-election, despite CCTV cameras were also installed at all poling station.

The Election Commissioner said elections on vacant seat of Balochistan Senate would be held on January 14, next for which nomination papers would be submitted to Returning Officer till December 27.

Replying to a question, he said election commission checked carefully papers of election candidates.
