OPF develops 3 tier verification process against fake degree holders

ISLAMABAD: The Overseas Pakistanis Foundation (OPF) has developed a fool proof mechanism to effectively scrutinize degrees of its employees through a 3-tier degree verification process.

According to the OPF, on the direction of establishment division, the department started scrutiny process a couple of years ago to verify degrees of its employees.

Under the process, degrees or certificates were being verified from the concerned boards and universities before being attested from Higher Education Commission and Inter Board Committee of Chairman.

The OPF said, under this process, it had initiated an inquiry against its 63 employees for not submitting attested copies of their degrees. The department directed its employees for submitting their original degrees a few months ago but 63 employees were using delaying tactics.

The inquiries against them were in process and the department had given them a short time notice to comply with the management orders otherwise the action would be taken as per law.

The degrees of four employees had been declared fake and departmental inquiries against them were also in process.
