ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Chaudhry Fawad Hussain on Friday said Opposition’s demand to appoint Shahbaz Sharif as chairman Public Accounts Committee (PAC) was against moral norms. Talking to different media channels outside the Parliament House, he said that how Shahbaz Sharif can look into the projects undertaken by his elder brother and former Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif during his tenure.The information minister asked Shahbaz Sharif not to accept the chairmanship on moral grounds..
Fawad said that even after the decision to appoint Shahbaz Sharif as PAC Chairman the opposition was still threatening not to let the National Assembly function.
Talking about Supreme Court's directives to reduce private schools fees, he said that private school was looting the parents of the students. Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf was a middle class political party and realized the financial problems of the masses. He said the Chief Justice also has pain for the people.
Replying to another question, he said that restoration of international cricket was essential for Pakistan and efforts were underway in this regard.
