LONDON: A British court on Monday ruled Indian tycoon Vijay Mallya, chairman of the UB Group drinks conglomerate and chief executive of the Force India Formula One team, can be extradited to his homeland to face fraud charges.

Judge Emma Arbuthnot at Westminster Magistrates' Court said she was referring the case to Home Secretary Sajid Javid for a decision on whether to order his immediate extradition.
