KARACHI: Pakistan Rangers Sindh on Friday claimed to have apprehended 18 suspects, including four alleged kidnapers, during targeted raids in different parts of the megacity.
According to a press release issued by rangers’ spokesman, the paramilitary force carried out targeted raids in Mubina town area and apprehended four kidnappers Naveed Hussain, Ali Raza, Amjed Hussain and Mumtaz Ali.
They were stated to be involved in kidnapping of children in the city.
During crackdown on outlaws in different parts of the city including Zaman town, Korangi Industrial Area, SITE Superhighway and Madina Colony the paramilitary soldiers nabbed nine street criminals, four wanted accused and a drug peddlers.
Citing their crimes the spokesman said that the arrested criminals were involved in snatching mobile phones, kidnapping, aerial firing, drug peddling and several street crimes.
Rangers also claimed to have recovered illegal weapons, drugs and contraband from their possession.
They were handed over to police for further legal action.
