PM Imran Khan showers praise on ‘stellar’ Yasir Shah
Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan, congratulated leg spinner Yasir Shah, after he became the fastest bowler to claim 200 wickets, the feat he achieved in just 33 tests.
“Congratulations to Yasir Shah who broke an 82 year old record held by an Australian & became the fastest bowler to reach the 200 test wickets' milestone in just 33 matches,” said Imran Khan, in a tweet on Friday.

The former World Cup winning captain, also praised Shah for equaling his record of 14 wickets, in the second test match against New Zealand. “Last week he had equalled my record of 14 wickets in a test match. Stellar performance,” added Imran Khan.
On Thursday, leggie Shah wrote cricket history books, after he became the fastest man to claim 200 Test wickets. In doing so, Shah broke some 82-year-old record set by beating Australian leg-spinner Clarrie Grimmett’s record of 36 Tests achieved against South Africa in Johannesburg in 1936.
