Everyone was holding their breath for Elon Musk’s first superfast high-tech underground tunnel launch next week, however, Musk dropped in a bad news informing about the postpone in the launch.

CEO Elon Musk earlier set a fixed date of December 10 for the launch of his Boring Company’s first underground tunnel in Los Angeles. Musk recently announced on Twitter that the date has been pushed to December 18 and people have to wait more.

However, apart from the bad news, Musk also announced good news that the December 18 launch will be ‘more than a tunnel opening’. He said that he will include ‘modded but fully road legal autonomous transport cars & ground to tunnel car elevators’.

The date delay is not new for Musk’s fans, as he is already criticized for his poor time management skills. Earlier in October this year, Musk promised free rides for the public as well on the launch day.

The tunnel is aimed to transport passengers and vehicles under the congested roads on autonomously driven electric platforms called ‘skates’. The skates will transport eight to 16 passengers, or one passenger vehicle, along with magnetic rails and high speeds of up to 155mph.
