BUDAPEST: Hungary's unadjusted industrial output rose by an annual 5.9 percent in October following a 0.6-percent decline in September, preliminary data from the Central Statistics Office (KSH) showed on Thursday.
Analysts polled by Reuters had expected a 3.5-percent year-on-year increase in October. The KSH said growth was driven by electronics and car manufacturing, as well as higher output in the food sector.
In January-October, industrial output was 3.4 percent higher than in the same period a year earlier.
