LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar Sunday said that following the revolutionary vision of Prime Minister Imran Khan, the provincial government would make all-out efforts to change the destiny of people.
He said that welfare of common man was the first priority of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government. The main objective of establishing the shelter home was to provide facility of night stay to the poor people who visit Lahore. It would facilitate them in such a way that they would not had to spend the night in the open.
He said that initially five shelter homes would be established as the pilot project. The foundation stone of the first shelter home has been laid near Railway Station, he added.
He said that shelter homes on two-kanal land would be constructed near Railway Station and Data Darbar while the rest three would be built on one-kanal each.
The chief minister said that shelter home being constructed in Lahore would be a state-of-the-art facility where travelers would be provided with other facilities. The project would be extended to other cities also.
He said that the credit for the welfare projects like the shelter homes must go to the PTI leadership, especially Prime Minister Imran Khan. He said that he himself would monitor the progress on the project.
