Wang Yang holds talks with Chairman Senate

BEIJING: Chairman of the National Committee of Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), Wang Yang held talks with Senate Chairman Muhammad Sadiq Sanjrani here on Friday.

During the meeting, Wang Yang said that China and Pakistan are all-weather friends and strategic partners no matter how the international environment and their domestic situations change.

He said the two countries should expand their security, economic and trade cooperation, boost people-to-people exchanges, accelerate construction of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC). The CPPCC stands ready to have more exchanges and cooperation with Pakistan Senate, he added.

The chairman Senate, who along with a parliamentary delegation is on an official visit to China, appreciated the outcome yielded from the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor and expressed Pakistan's willingness to make joint efforts with China to consolidate friendship and deepen bilateral ties.
