KU to celebrate Independence Day with national zeal
KARACHI: Karachi University (KU) would be celebrating Independence Day on Tuesday at the ground floor of the New Administration Building of the university
Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Muhammad Ajmal Khan would hoist the national flag and later would address the faculty members, employees and students of the KU. Special prayer for the well being of the nation and the country would also be offered, said a statement.
Main Independence Day ceremony to be organized by Students Advisor Office of the KU would be held from 9a.m. at parking ground near New Administration block.
Chinese teachers and foreign students at KU would present national songs. All those students who have represented and won laurels for the varsity in different co-curricular competitions nationally and internationally would be awarded with medals/awards.
National songs will be presented by renowned singers and bands including the Sounds of Kolachi, Braadri Broadcast, Taimur Junaid Jamshed, Zoe Viccaji and many others.
Vice Chancellor Dr. Khan would also lead the Independence Day Walk from UBL to Pharmacy department.
A poster exhibition on a theme: Mera Pakistan" will be organized by Center of Excellence for Women's Studies (CEWS), at 11a.m. at CEWS, KU.
Vice Chancellor KU Prof. Dr. Muhammad Ajmal Khan would inaugurate the exhibition. The exhibition would highlight the importance of Independence Day of Pakistan.
