70 candidates file nomination papers for two national assembly seats from Bajaur

BAJAUR: As many as 70 candidates have so far filed nomination papers for two national assembly seats including NA-40 and NA-41 seats in Bajaur Agency, an official of KP Election Commission told here on Saturday.
He said most of the candidates were independents, adding Gul Zafar Khan of PTI, Gul Afzal Khan of ANP, Akhunzada Chattan of PPP, Qari Abdul Majeed of JI, Sardar Khan of JI, Gul Zada of ANP and Waheedudin Khan of PML-N were among those having submitted papers to the returning officers.
No female candidate had so far submitted the nomination papers.
Meanwhile, PPP Provincial Vice President Akhunzada Chattan has obtained nomination papers for PPP co-chairperson Asif Ali Zardari for NA-40.
Talking to media, Chttan said Asif Zardari wished to take part in election from NA-40 in upcoming general elections.
Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf, Bajaur Agency General Secretary, Haji Said Ahmed Jan has filed nomination papers for two National Assembly seats as an independent candidate.
