PESHAWAR: Central President Awami National Party (ANP), Asfandyar Wali Khan Wednesday said that amicable approach should be adopted to resolve tension in Wana.

In a statement issued from Baacha Khan Markaz here, he said that instead of using coercive measures, a conciliatory course should be taken to end crises in Wana. He said that government is responsible to protect lives of people and it should take result oriented measures to ensure safety of Ali Wazir and his companions in Waziristan.

He said that all the incidents happened in Wana should be properly investigated and public should be informed regarding the probe. He said that the existing situation should negatively impact the environment developed in tribal areas after FATA merger and efforts should be made to create environment of mutual trust and understandings.

Asfandyar said that time has arrived that tribal people should be included in national mainstream adding all the stakeholders should work to end tension in tribal areas.
