FAISALABAD: Minister of State for Power Abid Sher Ali on Saturday said that the Pakistan Muslim League-N government had steered the country out of crises like power outage and terrorism.
Talking to the mediamen outside PHMA House here, he said that efforts were being made to supply electricity on cheapest rates to textile industry in the country.
He said that eradication of terrorism, overcoming gas and electricity load shedding, China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), foreign investment, power projects, road infrastructure and restoration of peace in Karachi were indications of the successful policies of the government.
To a question, he said that Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi has adopted the policies to strengthen the economy and development of the country.
To another question, the minister said that general elections 2018 would be held on time.
State Minister for Finance & Economic Affairs Rana Muhammad Afzal Khan and State Minister for Commerce & Textile Haji Muhammad Akram Ansari, Pakistan Hosiery Manufacturers and Exporters Association (PHMA) Chairman Naeem Ahmed and others were also present on the occasion.
