Pakistan’s young batsman Sohaib Maqsood was injured during the final of Pakistan Cup, the domestic 50 overs tournament that was being played at Iqbal Stadium on Sunday.

As per local media reports, Maqsood injured his shoulders and was immediately taken to a nearby hospital for medical treatment. Sohaib was playing for the Federal Areas against Khybar Pakhtunkhwa in the final.

The youngster, who has been adviced rest from the doctors, was in a terrific form in the tournament, making 267 runs at an average of 85.66.

Meanwhile, Federal Areas outsmarted Khyber Pakhtunkhwa by five wickets in the final while retaining their Cool & Cool presents Pepsi Pakistan Cup title in Faisalabad last night
