Pakistani legendary artist Anwar Maqsood has found himself in a controversy as the multi-talented prodigy was called a ‘racist’ by many furious Sindhi twitter users who called him out for making fun of them.

The gifted poet, philosopher, writer and occasional actor, Anwar, has written many master pieces for Urdu drama industry. However, this 82-year-old artist was trolled and slammed by many of the Sindhi twitter users over his recent ‘Anwarnama’ skit about the community.

Many called him racist for choosing to make fun and disgracing Sindhis in this video that was uploaded on different video streaming platforms two days ago. Anwar is seen talking to and imitating a character named Ali Nawaz Chandio, who is playing the role of lazy and unproductive man.

Seeing the negative reaction over this particular skit, Anwar quickly tried to mend the situation and clear the situation. The poet/writer shared yet another video in which he is seen explaining his thought process behind the video and even called himself a Sindhi who has been living in Sindh since 1948.
