imageKARACHI: The main reason of the poverty and backwardness of Sindh is its leadership crisis, said Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Vice Chairman Makhdoom Shah Mehmood Qureshi, addressing a big rally on Saturday.

Sindh is rich in natural resources and hardworking manpower, but it lacks dedicated and honest leaders; this is why this province is still goes deprived and poor. Sindh is bestowed with huge reserves of coal which is called black gold and if utilized properly it could illuminate whole Pakistan and remove darkness forever, he said, adding Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf knows that the real fountain of power is our masses. Now is the time to live raising our head high in pride, instead of living with our head hanging in shame.

He was addressing a huge rally at PanoAqil, when the anti-corruption rally of PTI entitled ‘Corruption Mitao, MulkBachao (Eliminate corruption and save the country)’ reached here from Sukkur. Thousands of people attended the rally that was also participated by other PTI leaders including Dr Arif Alvi, Haleem Adil Sheikh, Zian Hussain Qureshi, Papu Khan Chachar, Lal Malhi, Jay Parkash, Zaneerah Malik and others. Due to no further space in the jam-packed rally ground a large number of people witnessed it from the roofs of their houses and nearby trees. A long convoy of motorcycles escorted the main rally, carrying portraits of Imran Khan.

Qureshi lauded the spirit of the people of Sindh who attended the rally despite very hot weather. He said this is not the heat of weather but rather heat of politics.

He said it seemed that time is near when Sharif brothers would pack for going home. He said that in the decade of 1970 people were fed up of the rulers of that time and they decided their fate in the streets.

He said during the government of present rulers innocent people are facing murder cases. He said the apathy of rulers has divided the nation into two classes, exploiters and the exploited. He said the exploited people are supporting Imran Khan warmly.

He said masses throng at every place where Imran Khan holds his rally. He said the slogan of change attracts people towards Imran Khan. He said Sindh has been facing immense issues in the sectors like education and healthcare. He said when the people of the KpK thought about change they brought a change.

He said we have decided to go to every nook and corner of the county against corruption. He said the nation asks from the rulers and corrupt people that from which sources they have amassed their wealth.

He said there is a poor class in Pakistan and there is another class which is even poorer. He said unprecedented price hike has ended the purchasing power of masses.

On the occasion, PTI leaders Arif Alvi and Haleem Adil Sheikh also spoke.
