imageISLAMABAD: Chief Justice of Pakistan, Justice Nasir-ul-Mulk has constituted six benches at the principal seat to hear a number of important cases during the next week, starting from Monday (December 1).

The first bench comprising Chief Justice, Nasir-Ul-Mulk, Justice Gulzar Ahmed and Justice Mushir Alam would hear a number of important cases including election matters of national and provincial assemblies members and delimitation of constituencies, Constitutional petitions under Article 184 regarding issuance of directions to Election Commission of Pakistan as to holding of Local Government Elections in Punjab, Sindh and Khyber Pakhtoonkhwa, Hakim Shah petition against KPK government regarding issuance of No Objection Certificate (NoC) for establishment of Educational Institutions in the province.

The Second bench comprising Justice Jawwad S. Khawaja and Justice Sarmad Jalal Osmany would hear the cases including election matters of different parliamentarians, Shahid Orakzai petition regarding irregularities in Senate elections 2006, while third bench consisting of Justice Anwar Zaheer Jamali and Justice Sheikh Azmat Saeed will hear cases including Constitutional petitions under Article 184 against oil and gas companies of District Sanghar, who instead of providing infrastructure, jobs and gas etc facilities to the local people are spreading environmental pollution in the area, suo moto action regarding irregularities, illegalities, corruption, mismanagement and inefficiencies in PIA.

Fourth bench comprised Justice Mian saqib Nisar, Justice Ejaz Afzal Khan and Justice Amir Hani Muslim will hear the cases including Ishaq Khan Khakwani petition against Railway Board for leasing Railway land to a private firm, Constitutional petitions under Article 184 against involvement of Zafar Iqbal Gondal former Chairman EOBI, DG Investment and DG HR in multibillion scam in the Employees Old Age Benefit Institute.

The fifth bench consisting of Justice Asif Saeed Khan Khosa, Justice Iqbal Hameedur Rehman and Justice Umar Ata Bandial, while the sixth bench consisting of Justice Ijaz Ahmed Chaudhry, Justice Dost Muhammad Khan and Justice Qazi Faez Isa. Besides, other regular cases, the benches will also take up service matters, appeals against sentences, NAB cases, tax and land matters etc.

According to case lists, no adjournment on any ground will be granted and no application for adjournment through fax will be placed before the Court.

If the counsel is unable to appear for any reason, the Advocate-on-Record will be required to argue the case.
