ISLAMABAD: The business activities of wedding halls have been badly affected due to the sit-in of Pakistan Tehreek Insaf (PTI) and Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT).
Talking to APP, Booking manager of local wedding hall said that they were expecting more business after Eidul Fitr but due to protest rallies their business badly had come down.
He said that in past, they were making good business particularly after Eid ul Fitr but due to sit-ins, most of the people either delayed marriages or shifted to their natives towns for holding weddings there, "which is big loss for them".
He said that they would request district administration to allocate separate space for this kind of processions in future. He claimed that several families has cancelled advance booking of the wedding halls due to these activities.
Sanaullah, a resident of G-6 said that he arranged his son marriage in his hometown due to sit-in of PTI and PAT, adding that he faced lot problems in shifting all the arrangements in his hometown.
He said that political parties should resolve their problems in Parliament and avoid creating hurdles for common through such kind of sit in.
He said that he knows, some other people who are still waiting for ending the sit-ins to arrange marriage ceremonies.
