PESSI to set up 100-bed hospital in Faisalabad

Punjab Minister for Labour and Human Resources Raja Ashfaq Sarwar has said that officials and employees of the Punjab Employees Social Security Institution (PESSI) should utilize their best abilities for improving administrative matters, increasing contributions and providing facilities of social security to industrial workers and labourers.

He said this while presiding over 127th meeting of the governing body at the head office of Punjab Employees Social Security Institution, here on Wednesday.

The meeting discussed increasing period of relaxation of previous dues through the amnesty scheme given to industrial and trade institutions for providing facilities of social security to workers, financial assistance for the treatment of children of secured workers suffering from fatal diseases, affiliation of social security hospitals with medical colleges, strict action against industrial and trade defaulting organizations, setting up of 100-bed social security mother and child health care center in Faisalabad, dispensary in Deepalpur and Khewra, two new directorates of social security in Faisalabad, up-gradation of security arrangements and posting of guards at social security hospitals, regularization of contract employees, appointment of external auditors for pending audit objections of the Punjab Employees Social Security Institution, setting up of Workers Welfare Board School in Jhelum.
