JERUSALEM: Israel's unemployment rate rose to 7.1 percent in May from 6.8 percent in April as the labour force grew, the Central Bureau of Statistics said.
The number of employed rose to 3.352 million in May from 3.34 million April, with 59.2 percent of those above the age of 15 having jobs, up from 59.1 percent in April, the bureau said.
The participation in the labour force of those above 15 years old increased to 63.7 percent from 63.4 percent.
