CAIRO: Egypt has condemned, in the strongest terms, the terrorist attacks carried out by gunmen on security stations in the southern Jordanian city of Karak, resulting in several deaths and injuries.
The Foreign Ministry confirmed, in a statement, Egypt's full solidarity with the Jordanian brotherly people in the face of this painful incident.
It also reiterated Egypt's inherent commitment to stand by the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan in this situation, which requires the concerted efforts of all brotherly and friendly countries as well as continued contact and coordination to avert the menace of terrorism that extends its scope to threaten the security and stability of the region.
The Arab League also condemned the armed terrorist attacks that took place in the city of Karak.
It said in a statement that "such heinous crimes come to highlight once again the great danger posed by terrorism to the security and stability of the communities and the growing threat to innocent lives.
This requires making every effort to achieve greater cooperation and coordination among the Arab states and other countries to face such dangers and threats and eliminate them as soon as possible.
