WARSAW: Poland's unemployment rate fell to 8.6 percent in July from 8.8 percent the month earlier, the statistics office said on Wednesday.
Analysts polled by Reuters had expected the rate of 8.6 percent.
The statistics office said the number of registered unemployed stood at 1.362 million in July.
The data also showed the unemployment rate as measured by the Labour Force Survey (BAEL) fell to 6.2 percent in the second quarter of 2016 from 7.0 percent in the previous quarter.
