LISBON: Portugal's economy grew 0.4 percent in the second quarter of 2015, driven by domestic consumption, the National Statistics Institute (INE) said on Monday.
In its second reading of first quarter gross domestic, INE also said GDP expanded 1.5 percent year-on-year, the same as in the previous quarter. Both the quarterly and yearly growth rates were unchanged from INE's first estimates.
GDP expanded 0.9 percent last year and the government has forecast that it will grow around 1.6 percent this year.
