Turkey does not expect US sanctions to cover Iran gas imports

Taner-Yildiz ISTANBUL: Turkish Energy Minister Taner Yildiz said on Tuesday he did not believe that tighter US sanctions on Iran would cover Turkey's natural gas imports from the country.

The US Senate resoundingly approved expanded sanctions on global trade with Iran's energy and shipping sectors on Friday in its latest effort to ratchet up economic pressure on Tehran over its nuclear programme.
