ADDIS ABABA: African leaders will pass a resolution Monday urging that international crimes against humanity trials for Kenya's leaders be referred back to their country, a top African Union official said.
"We will be approving this morning what the ministers have proposed, definitely," AU security commissioner Ramtane Lamamra told AFP, referring to a draft agreed Friday by foreign ministers. The resolution calls for the International Criminal Court to refer the trials of Kenyan President Uhuru Kenyatta and Vice President William Ruto to Kenya.
