Obama presents $450mn plan to fund Colombia peace

WASHINGTON: US President Barack Obama on Thursday announced a $450 million plan to fund Colombia's peace process, shaking up more than a decade of military-focused aid.

"Just as the United States has been Colombia's partner in a time of war," Obama told Colombian President Juan Manuel Santos at the White House, "we will be your partner in waging peace."
