KARACHI: The Government of Sindh desires that education be promoted in the province and system of merit prevailed.
This was stated by the Adviser to the Sindh Chief Minister on Media, Sharmila Faruqui.
She undertook surprise visits on Monday to various examination centres of on-going SSC Annual Examinations.
Sharmila was accompanied by Deputy Secretary Schools, Muhammad Ayub Shaikh, Deputy Director School, Ahmed Nawaz Niazi, and other officials.
They caught four candidates resorting to unfair means at Meher Neemroze Boys Primary School near Capri Cinema.
Their answer scripts were signed by Deputy Director Schools and sent to Chairman and Controller of Examinations of Board of Secondary Education Karachi (BSEK).
Two candidates were also detected using unfair means at NJV High School. Their answer scripts were seized and sent to the Chairman and Controller of examinations of the BSEK.
Meanwhile, Sharmila Faruqui also discussed the problem of loadshedding at the examination centre with the chief operating officer of the Karachi Electric Supply Company (KESC).
