One killed, three hurt in boiler blast

A man was burnt to death and four others received serious burn injuries when a boiler in private oil company burst on Wednesday, police and eyewitnesses said. As per detail, a fire broke out in oil refining company named as MKF Oil Refinery which is located near Pakistan Steel Mills when boiler of the company burst with big bang.
Resultantly, a boiler operator was killed and four others sustained serious injuries. They were immediately rushed to Civil Hospital Karachi. Eyewitnesses told Business Recorder, the workers were busy in routine working when the boiler of company suddenly blasted. They said the boiler operator Idrees son of Laung Ali burnt completely and died on the spot. While his companion, Qarman Ali, Allah Dino, Qambar Ali and Aslam sustained serious burn injuries.
Sources in CHK Burns Centre told that Qarman Ali was under treatment. Ehtishamuddin, Chief Fire Officer (CFO), City District Government Karachi said four fire tenders were immediately rushed to the spot. However, two fire tenders were also called from Bin Qasim Fire Station, he added. He said the fire was overpowered after hectic effort of two hours. He said the fire was caused due to explosion of boiler.
