hoti-meetingPESHAWAR: Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Amir Haider Khan Hoti Tuesday said that special initiatives of the present government were aimed at eradication of poverty, unemployment, illiteracy and removal of hurdles in economic development.

 

He said that no stone will be left unturned for making these initiatives a success. He was chairing a review meeting here.

 

Program of free treatment facilities to hepatitis and cancer patients, skill development in nursing sector, long term loans for industrial development, free training of youth in different sectors, hunarmand and riwayati Hunarmand rozggar schemes, scholarships for girls in Tor Ghar and Kohistan, Naway Sehar Laptop scheme, IT parks and mechanical farming were reviewed, progress and other issues also remained under discussion and important decisions were taken.

 

The CM termed satisfactory the removal of markup in Hunarmand Rozgar scheme and introduction of Riwayati Hunarmand Rozgar in 8 districts after success in Peshawar division. He also expressed satisfaction on scholarships for motivating girls to education in TorGhar and Kohistan districts.

 

Provincial Secretary Industry Fazal Rahim Khattak apprised the meeting of decision on removing markup on loans under Hunarmand Rozgar Schemes and said that number of applications for loans has gradually increased.

 

He presented detailed briefing on long term loans for industrial development and programs of free training to youth. Secretary Elementary and Secondary Education Muhammad Hamayun said that under Rokhana Pakhtunkhwa Education program in 128 private schools out of 400 schools for current year have been registered. The CM stressed for ensuring quality education and monitoring.

 

He said that due to scholarships program for motivating girls in education in TorGhar and Kohistan, the number of girl's enrollment increased considerably and relaxation is provided alongside other facilities in connection with education for removal of deficiency of female teachers.

 

Secretary Energy & Power, Zafar Iqbal said that the process of establishment of oil and gas company and oil refinery was in progress for increase in reservoir of oil and gas in the province and it will be finalized soon.

 

Secretary Information Azmat Hanif Orkazai said that due to progress on interest free loans for riwayati Hunarmand in Peshawar division, the scheme has been extended to eight districts that include Mardan, Swabi, Chitral, D.I.Khan, lower dir, Haripur and Abbottabad.

 

The CM directed health and higher education department for finalizing provision of oncology services to cancer patients and Naway Saher laptop scheme.
