US drone strike kills three militants in South Waziristan

PESHAWAR: A US drone strike targeting a vehicle in Khawashi Khel killed at least three militants on Saturday, security officials said, the latest in a recent spate of attacks.

The strike took place in Khawashi Khel village, five kilometres (three miles) west of Wana, the main town in the South Waziristan tribal district which borders Afghanistan, a Pakistani security official told AFP on condition of anonymity.
