imageSIALKOT: Federal Minister for Water and Power Khawaja Muhammad Asif has said that the government was striving to ensure uninterrupted supply of electricity to all the domestic consumers during the coming Eid Days across the country.

He made this assurance while addressing the participants of an Iftar Dinner hosted in his honour at Govt. Allama Iqbal Memorial Teaching Hospital Sialkot. Various MNAs and MPAs , traders, industrialists and exporters were also present on this occasion.

Khawaja Asif inaugurated the newly established Shehbaz Block for students of Govt. Kh. Safdar medical College Sialkot and vowed to make Pakistan a power load shedding free country within a stipulate period of coming three years, saying that the PML-N government has taken the burning issue of energy crisis as a challenge and government was moving towards right direction and goal of getting rid of the, what he said, unbearable load shedding of electricity.

He said that there was the hand of the electricity thieves behind the anti power outages protest being conducted by the people in various parts of the country.

Khawaja Muhammad Asif revealed that the PML-N government was making hectic efforts to overcome energy crisis. He said that the government has also developed an effective mechanism to over come the menace of theft of the electricity across the country by taking the provinces into confidence over this crucial issue. The theft of electricity would not be tolerated and people indulged in this practice would be dealt with iron hands, he warned.

Khawaja Muhammad Asif said that only the PML-N has the capability to get the nation rid of prolonged and unbearable energy crisis.

He claimed that the PML-N government has achieved all the targets set for till now to overcome the menace of energy crisis and the government was rapidly moving ahead towards its right direction and goal to end the power load shedding. He said that the PML-N government has managed to reduce the duration of load shedding to facilitate the people across the country.

Khawaja Muhammad Asif said that the PML-N government’s effective anti-power load shedding strategy was meeting with success, as the government was committed for giving maximum relief to the people, saying that the persisting energy crisis would soon become an agonic story of past.

Later, talking to the local traders at his residence at Sialkot Cantt, Khawaja Muhammad Asif said that the Nandipur power generation plant would generate 400 megawatts electricity under the supervision of Chinese experts, as the work on Nandipur power generation plant was briskly underway, in this regard.

He stated that getting rid of the existing worst energy crisis was not an easy task, as the crisis had grown up by the former rulers in years and now the years were required to overcome the menace of said aggregated energy crisis, which had perturbed the life of every one and ruined the national economy, saying that it will take time to end the persisting energy crisis despite the PML-N government had started work on emergency ground to give the maximum relief to the energy crisis beaten people, in this regard.

He urged the masses to give up the unnecessary use of the electricity and lend a sharing hand of cooperation to the government for ending the power load shedding. Now, the nation would have to show more patience for getting permanent freedom from the persisting energy crisis, he urged.
