LAHORE: Bearish trend prevailed in Lahore Stock Exchange on Monday as it shed 36.69 points, following the LSE-25 index opened with 4133.42 and closed at 4096.73 points.
The market's overall situation also did not correspond to an upward trend as it remained at 2.164 million shares to close against previous turnover of 3.007 million shares, showing a downward slide of 843,400 shares. While, out of the total 112 active scrips 9 moved up, 33 shed values and 70 remined equal.
Pak Electron Limited, Askari Bank Limited and Dawood Hercules Corporation were Major Gainer of the day by recording increase in their per share value by Re. 0.29, Re. 0.10 and Re. 0.10 respectively.
Pakistan Petroleum Limited, D.G.Khan Cement Company and National Bank of Pakistan lost their per share value by Rs. 1.60, Rs. 0.90 and Re 0.49 respectively.
The Volume Leader of the day included Karachi Electric Supply Company with 292,500 shares, NIB Bank Limited with 281,000 shares and Dewan Cement Limited with 280,500 shares.
