zardari1 400ISLAMABAD: Eight ambassadors Thursday presented their credentials to President Asif Ali Zardari at an impressive ceremony here at the Aiwan-e-Sadr.

The Ambassadors of Australia, Germany, Thailand, Ukraine, Bulgaria, Nepal, Italy and High Commissioner of Australia after presenting their credentials separately called on the President and discussed bilateral relations and matters of mutual interest.

The President felicitated the newly appointed ambassadors and expressed the hope they will work for further strengthening bilateral ties.

Earlier, upon arrival they were warmly received at the President House. National anthems of Pakistan and the respective countries were played and a contingent of the Pakistan Army presented Guard of Honour.

Those who presented the credentials include Ambassador Marwin Tanattananwin of Thailand Volodymyr Lakomov of Ukraine, Roumen Pirontchev of Bulgaria, Bharat Raj Paudyal of Nepal, Dr. Cyrill Jean Nunn of Germany, Adriano Chiodi Cianfarani of Italy, Peter Heyward High Commissioner of Australia.
