The three-member bench completed the proceedings on petitions relating to contempt of court charges against President Zardari for holding political activities in the President House, despite the LHC full bench May 12 ruling that he could not continue as co-chairman of the ruling party while in the presidency.

LHC full bench headed had asked the President to either step down as co-chairman of the PPP or stop using the presidency for holding the party’s meetings and conferences.
