ISLAMABAD: While rejecting the notion of stand-off between judiciary and executive, Minister for Information and Broadcasting Qamar Zaman Kaira has made it clear that the government or Pakistan Peoples Party has nothing to do with the case of Business tycoon Malik Riaz and Arsalan Iftikhar.
Talking to media representatives here on Thursday, he said that the government or PPP has nothing to do with the case, saying that the matter is only between Malik Riaz & Arsalan Iftikhar.
To a query, he rejected the impression of the confrontation between the judiciary and the executive, adding that the matter is only between the two persons and it has nothing to do with any of the institutions.
He said that Malik Riaz has relations not only with President Asif Ali Zardari but also with other politicians and business personalities.
Replying a question‚ Kaira maintained that according to the constitution‚ the National Assembly speaker's ruling cannot be challenged in the court of law.
