 KARACHI: On Thursday until mid day, KSE-100 Index remained in a rising trend almost since market opening and was at 13,593.78 with a positive change of 224.89 and volume of 48,557,554 shares. High and Low were 13,650.68 and 13,368.89 respectively. Total volume traded in the market was 59,184,671 shares with 291 total traded companies out of which 228 were up, 45 were down and 18 were unchanged.

Construction and materials sector was in the lead with a total traded volume of 11,987,175 shares and Lucky Cement as leading company in that sector (3,914,199 shares) followed by Chemicals sector with a total traded volume of 11,868,282 shares and Engro Corporation as the leading company in that sector (3,871,273 shares).

The three top traded companies were P.T.C.L.A with a volume of 9,321,302 and price per share of 14.30 (0.46), Jahangir Siddiqui & Co. with a volume of 4,170,569 and price per share of 14.00 (0.23) and Lucky Cement with a volume of 3,914,199 and price per share of 117.60 (1.88).

The top three advancers were Unilever Pakistan with price per share of 7,462.57 (82.57), Unilever Food with price per share of 2,820.00 (57.50) and Wyeth Pakistan with price share of 837.00 (16.60).

The top three decliners were Mehmood Textile with price per share of 99.05 (-5.21), Liberty Mills with price per share of 60.90 (-3.20) and Pak Gum & Chemical with price per share of 115.60 (-2.90).
