KARACHI: On Friday until end of first half, KSE-100 Index displayed fluctuations between positive and negative with no clear trend and was at 14,341.79 with a negative change of –78.40 and volume of 114,558,272 shares. High and Low were 14,445.50 and 14,263.28 respectively. Total volume traded in the market was 133,334,727 shares with 309 total traded companies out of which 118 were up, 180 were down and 11 were unchanged.
Fixed Line Telecommunication sector was in the lead with a total traded volume of 36,194,249 shares and P.T.C.L.A. as leading company in that sector (33,051,054 shares) followed by Chemicals sector with a total traded volume of 30,060,058 and Fatima Fertilizer as the leading company in that sector (11,571,518 shares).
The three Top Traded companies were P.T.C.L.A. with a volume of 33,051,054 and price per share of 16.00 (0.67), D.G. Khan Cement with a volume of 15,159,159 and price per share of 45.00 (-1.83) and Fatima Fertilizer with a volume of 11,571,518 and price per share of 25.60 (-0.54).
The top three Advancers were Bata Pakistan with price per share of 674.00 (31.00), Nestle Pakistan with price per share of 4,199.00 (25.00) and Mitchell’s Fruit Farms with price share of 215.25 (10.25).
The top three Decliners were Unilever Pakistan with price per share of 7,056.00 (-184.00), Unilever Food with price per share of 3,040.00 (-155.65) and Colgate Palmolive with price per share of 910.00 (-8.75).
