ISLAMABAD: A two member bench of the Supreme Court (SC), headed by Justice Ejaz Afzal adjourned the hearing of the contempt of court case against Babar Awan till Tuesday after hearing the arguments of his counsel.

During the proceedings, Barrister Ali Zafar, counsel for Babar Awan, apprised the bench that the intra-court appeal that he filed against the decision of indicting his client despite unconditional apology being tendered by Babar Awan is still not held. Therefore, the court should postpone the contempt case hearing.

After hearing the arguments, the court adjourned the proceedings till Tuesday (May 15).
